April is about to end, and no new product release.

Re: April is about to end, and no new product release.
There is no release schedule.
The world is in under major supply chain constraint and even if there was a miraculous announcement of an Electro 7 it would not actually be available for quite some time (Think 6-12 months).
As far as speculation about new releases, its much more probable that there will be a new Stage 3ex or Stage 4 long before there is a new Electro 7.
If you want/need the Electro 6, buy the electro 6.

Re: April is about to end, and no new product release.
I found myself in a similar spot some weeks ago. After some comparisons between Nord Grand vs. Piano 5, Kawai MP7SE/11SE I bought the Nord Grand.
I am very happy with my decision - no regret so far. And if there will be a facelift or new version in a couple of weeks well so be it.

When you compare delivery times on some major music instruments retailers you'll see that many products are not available for weeks.
But nobody besides Nord knows for sure so either you buy an instrument now or you wait longer. But even if you wait for another 3-6 months nobody can guarantee you that you won't find yourself in the same spot again.
I guess you have to accept by buying a Nord instruments there is always the chance you buy to early since they tell us customers nothing about their roadmap or sales strategy.

said because of Covid and ongoing Zero-Covid-Policy in China (which is just a nice word for trade war between China and EU / USA) it seems very unlikely Nord/Clavia will release anything soon even if they want to.cgrafx wrote:cgrafx

Re: April is about to end, and no new product release.
Honestly, the Electro 6 was an underwhelming upgrade to the Electro 5. There have been far more threads complaining about various changes and "improvements" than any previous Electro upgrade I can think of. My own view is that the Electro, marvelous as it is (I've owned two), is kind of played-out as an evolving platform.
I mean, what else can they really do to "improve" it, other than than the usual boost to memory space, which is never enough for us anyway. You really can't run more than one XL acoustic piano on your Electro if you want to have anything else, and it's always been that way, from version to version.
The Fatar keybed is not going away, and that's probably the area that could use the most improvement. I don't see them adding in any major new sound mod features. The Preset section continues to be illogical and confusing but Clavia is clearly committed to their "base 4" numbering system, paired with 26 letters of the alphabet - that ain't going away either. A bigger screen, in color? That would be nice but it wouldn't change anything about the instrument itself.
SO - if you want an Electro, buy one now. Either the 6 or a good condition 5. Some would say get the 5 for a better preset experience with the setlist feature, and better Hammond Leslie sounds and 9th bar percussion options.

in this moment in italy the user that have buy the electro 6 in october can have the keyboard
6 mounts out of time!
for me it’s impossible that we have a new release in 2 mounts; another question is “the stage 3 is more older that electro 7” i think that it’s more probably a new stage

It doesn't matter to me if they release a new product, but would love to see updates for the current products, especially the Wave 2 which has been 18 months without a single update.
