subject says it all... i'm thinking about adding a weighted controller to my rig as I am growing weary of trying to play acoustic piano on the semi weighted electro. would love some recommendations from you all.
thanks

Re: Whats the best and lightest weighted Midi Controller?
Best lightweight controllers are probably:
Casio PX-5S, or maybe the PX360 which is a little cheaper but a little heavier, and has fewer controller-specific functions, which may or may not matter to you.
Kawai ES110, though that's another without much in the way of controller-specific functions.
Other possibilities could be Kurzweil SP1 or Studiologic SL73/SL88 Studio.

The PX-5S isn’t bad but you have to like the textured keys. Good deal though.

Re: Whats the best and lightest weighted Midi Controller?
I set up my daughter's casio px350 to control my NE5 last night. It was eye opening how much more expressive those acoustic piano samples are with weighted action. I may be hooked now. How does the M-audio or the studiologic 88 note controllers compare with that casio privia type of action? I listed those since I checked the specs and they seem to be the lightest of the bunch

I bought a preowned Studiologic SL88 Studio, could not get the editor software to work for some reason, which was a bummer. Might have been because my incompetence, but I let it continue to the next owner.
