Hi,
I have an Electro 6 and would like to record some midi which I can playback in a loop.
Just a couple of chords or a melody.
So I thought about an old Roland midi sequenzer, but it to big and I think overkill.
The other option is a midi app on my iPhone, but it gives me troubles to find a midi in AND out cable for my iphone, and second to find an easy midi recording app.
Are there other solutions, options, experiences?
Or is it possible to conncect my iPhone (or iPad) to the Electro using the usb connection on the keyboard?
Or is the midi in/out connection necessary?
Thanks in advance!

Re: How to record midi to an extern device? (Not PC)
Hi Ivar,
and welcome to this wonderful forum of nord enthusiasts. First question: Does your iPhone have the Lightning or the USB C port? My iPad has lightning, it can use the apple lightning to USB 3 adapter, and I can connect it via a normal printer USB cable with my nord electro. It works in both directions. Cheers

Hi Ivar,
glad that midi works for you now. As far as DAW sequencer apps are concerned I have no idea because I don‘t work with any of those. A while ago I searched the appstore and do remember that there were some very promising ones, maybe you find them as well there. I use midi to play sound apps like galileo organ or iMini Moog along with my ‘normal‘ keyboards. Cheers
Perhaps I can try to refind my list over the weekend when I am in my wifi-zone.
