Recommended monitor for Rehearsal and live situation
I have a Roland KC550 amp that I use during rehearsal and a smaller Roland KC150 that sometimes I use on live gigs as a monitor. However I always had the problem with the Yamaha Motifs and now the MODX6 that if they're not connected in stereo mode many sounds get canceled and I can barely hear them or they sound very low. These amps are not stereo so they really don't cut it. I just bought the Radial Keylargo which is very good for mixing multiple keyboards in live situations, and have been thinking about buying a good Monitor and it seems the Mackie SRM350v3 and SRM450v3 are very good. Don't know if the SRM350v3 is good enough or I need the SRM450. What I don't know is if for a stereo purposes only one of theses monitors will do the job or I necessarily have to buy a pair ? It seems each one has two inputs on the back, but what is you opinion ? (I only need it as a monitor, not as a stand alone PA system)

Re: Recommended monitor for Rehearsal and live situation
There are lots of discussion here about stage monitors. Do a search for QSC K8.2.
Stereo requires two speakers, doesn't matter how many inputs there are on the back of the speaker.
The Roland KC series amps can be run in stereo, but you need two of them to do it. However, the QSC K series speakers are going to sound much better.

I’d just run a headphone amp and use IEMS.
Let the rest of the band hear the mono speaker.

The problem with two speakers is that they will cost more and having to carry them both will be a nightmare. Is there like a one speaker or monitor system in which a synth like for example the MODX will not sound perhaps in stereo but frequencies will not get cancelled and I will be able to listen to it very clearly ?

If you're looking for a single speaker solutions to work better with a stereo signal, then take a look at this blog post from cphollis about the Spacestation v3:

Re: Recommended monitor for Rehearsal and live situation
I believe there is no one "right" answer, especially if you play in different situations.
For example, if the volume is loud, the band mature, and you've got a good sound person -- a pair of ambient IEMs is hard to beat. IEMs can also be the most cost-effective solution.
Next step down is a pair of self-powered PAs. As mentioned above, it's hard to beat the QSC K8.2s these days. Put them on a pair of short poles behind your shoulders, and you'll be in sonic bliss all night. Even a single K8.2 sitting on the floor is pretty durn impressive.
Next step down (for me) is my trustworthy CPS SpaceStation V.3. Stereo-ish in a single amp. Great for smaller venues with teeny tiny stages. It takes a while to learn how to place it and dial it in. And you'll never be 100% with your AP sound. But it still gets used a lot, even though I have much better sonic options.
Tasty acoustic gigs? I have different Bose L1 columns that can fill a room nicely with ambient sound.
A bit of warning? My Nord patches sound different on each of these setups, so I'm now in the process of figuring out "standardized" patches that can sound good across all of them with minimal tweaking. Just to keep my sanity.
I am not a fan of "keyboard amps". The better ones (like Motion Sound) can work OK, but they are big, heavy beasts, not mention highly directional. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from all the Roland KC series that I've tried.
Best of luck!

Hi,
Don't know if I've mentioned this already, but we are using a Behringer X air XR18 since 1,5 year. Suits perfectly for our needs (enough inputs (18) and exactly enough (6) aux busses / outputs for IEM). Everybody can make their own mix. And it's never too loud!

cheaper than the QSC and smaller / lighter than the Mackie: Yamaha DXR10. A very good speaker for the money, especially if you buy two

Has anyone tried this guy:

?
I've been intrigued about its form factor ever since I saw it.
