Good morning,
I am using a Nord Stage 3 keyboard and with Yamaha Dbr 10 speakers. For the most part I have been using them at home, and I have been playing with the various settings on the speakers-including front of house, as a monitor and with the d-contour off.
I find that the bass with some of the keyboard pre-sets lack clarity and is extremely muddy. This is especially the case with some of the organ sounds... The bass sound ranges from being barely audible, to muddy/ o or squelchy....
Has anyone else experienced this at at all with their stage 3?
I'm not sure if it is the keyboard or the speakers specifically. Does anyone have suggestions about how I might remedy this with the EQ settings?
I have played with the speaker settings a little bit but it doesn't seem to help.
Thanks,

Re: Nord Stage 3 with Yamaha DBR 10 speakers
At first: I have no experience with DBR10 speakers.
I would at first recommend to check room equalization with a pure Sine wave from Synth section. Just go through the keyboard range.
I experienced with this method you can easily detect room acoustics and adjust them with an EQ (I'm using a dbx 215 for this).
Additionally with the sine wave you will clearly detect/hear what your speakers do with it- especially in the low end.
