Ok, so, in order to get nice colors "Around" my keys, I bought two of these:
http://yorkville.com/legacy/product/lp-led2/
My idea is NOT to put them on a pole because I feel uncomfortable to have different Colors on my keys, It bugs me and makes me doing mistakes...I know, weird....I have all my keys lightened with little Mighty Bright led for pedalboard and small IKEA leds under the top tier keys, so, even on a dark stage, I can perfectly see everything.....Good for me but not for the public...
Then my idea is to put the Yorkville Led on the floor but thn it put light on all the cables and it's not very nice? Should I cover the back of the keys/cables with white drapes to have the Yorkville Led coloring the drapes? Like fog on big stages in order for the lights to be seen?
Any idea? What do you do?

Re: Nice lightning and hiding cables at the same time
My recommendation is that you tidy up your cables in some kind of multi cable snake. Here's how mine looks and I have another version of this stand as well. I have a very clean snake of all cables coming from my NS2 going to a junction box on my keyboard stand, with a second snake leading to my offstage rack. No cable mess and it's super easy to set it all up at each gig.

Re: Nice lightning and hiding cables at the same time
Just a thought, but can't you overcome the coloured keys by installing some kind of white light LED strip or something to illuminate the keys so you're not bothered with elevated lights..?
LED strips could be temporarily taped (blue tac?) to the bottom of all but the bottom tier keyboard, to illuminate the one below. The top tier would have to have some other illumination of course.
Why I'm suggesting this is because I think it's visually more fun to have some light splash on the musician and not just in the general direction of the keyboards.

But the real question is the baseball mural! Pretty cool but it's hard to make out the players in that shot. My guess: (L-R) Wacha, Russell, Pedroia, Cain, Posey & deGrom.
How'd I do?

Re: Nice lightning and hiding cables at the same time
Thanks for the feedback on my rig...I am not a baseball expert, so I don't know how well you did on the players
Here's another couple of shots of the latest rendition of my rig, which is a custom welded aluminum stand modeled after Vox Continental "Z" type stand. All of my stands over the past 25+ years have been on wheels with a tilting hinged top platform. Lots of fun.

Re: Nice lightning and hiding cables at the same time
That is a sweet rig, Eric.
When I want a little splash, I put a few of these battery-powered, sound-activated par cans on the floor near me, pointing up. Simple yet effective.
