I’m reading good things about the Neo Ventilator and I note many of you use them. May I ask, is there a huge difference between the Ventilator and the Ventilator II? A $200 difference?
Your reviews of this box would be most appreciated!

Re: Neo Ventilator
I had the vent #1 and have presently the #2.
You have more parameters you can change with the #2 but the sound is the same by default.
They are both great.
I also have the mini vent for organ but prefer the vent #1/2.
Regards

Re: Neo Ventilator
As far as I know the Ventilator is available as a used product only, whilst the Ventilator II can be purchased as a new product, so that’s probably the first difference.
The sound quality should be more or less the same between the two, but the Ventilator II offers some more options like
- fast and slow speed individually
- mic distance low and high individually
- stereo input and output
- different modes
- 3 Switches for bypass, stop and slow/fast

Re: Neo Ventilator
It’s a Leslie simulator. Purported to be far superior to the one on board. I use the B3 engine a lot.

Re: Neo Ventilator
Sometimes I use my Vent II with B3, sometimes I don't. It's definitely an improvement, but a bit more complex to set up and control vs. the on-board Leslie sim. If you're playing in stereo through decent amplification, the difference will be more notable. Also, if you're recording, it's a step up.
That being said, there are plenty of situations where I'm just too lazy to be bothered.

I think I have gear issues ....

Re: Neo Ventilator
I have three Ventilators that I use in different settings.
- Vent (original) bought when it first came out and have always used it in my gig rig mounted in an offstage rack to process organ sounds via separate output from one of the NS2 units. Love this sound and it's perfect for my live gigs.
- Mini Vent that I use at home less frequently, but super convenient to have available so I don't have to lug in my heavy rack when needed.
- Vent II that is always set up at my band's rehearsal space for convenience.
The original Vent and Mini Vent sound nearly identical and are very easy to plug and play. The Vent II is similar, but has so many more parameters that it can vary more with bumps to the knobs. One time I got the Vent II into a weird space where it sounded bad to me, but after doing some tweaking to make it more like the others, I marked the knobs and don't move them.
All of that said, each of the Vents are great and really improve the sound of my NS2 units.

Re: Neo Ventilator
Thanks for all the info! Do you know if any or all these products can be controlled by the Nord Half Moon?

The Ventilator is NOT midi controllable, but the specs say you can plug the half-moon switch directly into the unit.
