My New Pedal Board Setup
This is a rundown of the setup and design of how i run my pedal board.
This is the overall view Top left spare pedal . Bottom from left to right. Nord Sustain- Nord Rotary- Modx Sustain- Nord patch change - Nord Swell
Middle pedalis radial dual DI box that sums my 2 keyboard signals into 1 and gives me 2 outputs of that sound one for FOH one for my Monitor.
The remote is for lights lol.
Using pass through trs boxes this is how my snake plugs into the board and my power supply for the stand.
The power is also pass through but from the other side of the pedal.
This is how the pedals are connected underneath.
This is a shot of the stand where i pre drilled a 7/8 hole to run the snake through it exits the bottom of the stand. Also the power supply has a custom end to plug into the pedal board.

Re: My New Pedal Board Setup
Nice compact setup!
But I see something that looks very dangerous to me: it looks like the left and right powerinput have the same male IEC connector, which are connected as passtrough.
So if you connect your power supply to the right connector, the left one becomes live and someone could be electrocuted when touching the pins... This is not a safe situation.
It's safer to replace the connector which supply your Nord with a female IEC connector, so no one can ever touch the live connectors.
I work as a stage technician, and I would absolutely not be happy touching live connectors at a dark stage when changing bands...
Tip: You could also use Powercon connectors. The blue ones are for power in, the white ones are for power out (supplying power to gear). The advantage is that the connectors interlock with each other, so there is never the possibility that a connector becomes lose during a gig. In Europe these connectors are very common, I've no idea how common they are in the USA.

Re: My New Pedal Board Setup
Yes point taken. The reason i went with the male ends on both sides is because the female end has a better tendency to come out of the socket easier if someone were to trip over the pedal board. I will give the powercon a try.
On a funny note. The closest thing to a stage tech that i see is my girlfriend helping me with breakdown and setup.

Hi,
You should never ever bring this kind of dangerous diy devices to public places where unaware people may fry themselves. Not only it may be lethal, but you may also find youself in court if the worst happens.
The pedalboard is nice, thought. Just fix the AC connectors.

I think I understand your point (and I work in the insurance industry) and your caution is warranted. Perhaps the counter argument is to have things like this posted so everyone can learn. I would have had no idea the set up was potentially dangerous. Now that we do, we’d be more aware if attempting something similar. If it’s possible to edit the original post with a warning that might suffice...it’s a good learning experience.

In my humble opinion its actually not that dangerous you would have to be a moron to get shocked. I never leave the line just open.

Until somebody else unplugs the "Never Just Open" side thinking its now disconnected and grabs the edge to pick it up.

Re: My New Pedal Board Setup
Really...
I think Jyrkik and cgrafx are not niggling, but seriously concerned. If it's actually meant to be a passthrough, I'm scared, too.
