Wouldn't the response range of the instrument/mixer/amp limit the contents of the signal that is being fed into the drivers?

At first i though the same thing that the mixer has limit at 20000 hz so no problem who cares if the in ears are going to 43000 but ky teacher told me that the 43000 freq response is effects the harmonics under it with such a way that still is a problem..

Try google about supersonic sounds damage ear or something like that you will find a lot of details..

Also try asking your ear doctor or audiologist about it

Also a tip for everyone who uses in ears.. dont ever play with just 1 in ear in your ear.. i see many playing with just 1 and having the other ear open to get sound from outside stage etc.. this is still a huge problem during time they can even start walking wrong..
The same damage can be done when you speak at phone with 1 ear all the time or using a bluetooth at the 1 ear all the time

It can't be any worse than playing next to a loud drummer :)

Yes but if you use this chinese in ears just use them in low volume to prevent hearing damage in future bro….

I have just ordered the AS10´s. Mostly as a backup for my backups, as my customs are in for a refit and they have a problem getting a good seal on them.
Got these recommended buy a musician I played with and he digs them more than his shure universals. I play mostly a set of 535´s at the moment so let's see how these Chinese iems holds up. Also ordered a pack of Comply foams as a good seal is superimportent to make in ears work.

It addition to the 5 driver design (which is perfect for me), they also have more exotic 8 driver designs, which I am very, very curious about. 8 driver designs have usually gone for mucho dinero, but they are bringing them down to the sub $100 category, which means you can try a few and see what works for you.

Seriously, I tried a pair of very inexpensive IEMs and couldn't believe my ears. It's a sealed, five driver design that seems to use the exact same design and components seen elsewhere. If you are familiar with the Westone AM Pro 30s, those extra two drivers means you can hear your left hand like you maybe haven't heard it before? Clear, comfortable sound throughout the range, although they will need a bit of breaking in. After trying them, I didn't want to go back to the Westones.

These are on Amazon, but you might find them elsewhere. "KZ ZS10 Pro, Linsoul 4BA+1DD 5 Driver in-Ear HiFi Metal Earphones with Stainless Steel Faceplate, 2 Pin Detachable Cable". I guess they couldn't afford a marketing department, but that's ok.

For $50? Count me in. I'm not sure about the sealed-in aspect for a live gig (didn't like it before), but for rehearsals and everyday use, they are exceptional. I can leave a pair in my studio, in my gig bag, near the couch, etc. Not sorry I have the Westones, as ambient is nice, especially for acoustic gigs.

One slight clarification; These KZ earphones - which appear to be an excellent product at a fantastic price - do not have a key feature of the Westone AM series. The Westone AM series have a physical port that allows controlled amount of ambient sound to be heard when the phones are fully seated in your ears. This is important to me, because I need to hear the audience and stage sounds when I play and I dislike the "enclosed and isolated feeling" I have when wearing sound-isolating earphones. But... if hearing some ambient sound without having to remove one ear piece isn't a requirement, these look like a great deal. Thanks, cphollis, for telling us about them!

I had to get used to that isolated feeling, but at this point I love it! I'm also less tired after a gig because of less volume on my ears.
If I want audience sound I can ask the sound guy to put up an audience microphone, but I never had the urge to have one.
If I want morgen stage sound, I just mix more of the band members in my ears.

Oh small detail, there is no stage sound on our stage because we don't have any monitors on stage. Drums are electronic and guitarist/bassist are plugged straight (maybe through some effect pedals) into the mixer.

Quick update -- I shared the IEM info over at KC, a few people tried them out, and they like them very much as well. Now, about that 8 driver version you have ...

Which one is the 8 driver version?
If these really are that good, it would be fun to compare them with the 846.
