Hi all,

Currently looking for a new stand for a NS2 76 (lower) and 61 key controller (upper).
I've always used X-style but would love to hear your experience of the Tower Styles.

Key Points:
As light and compact as possible
Stable
Variable angle adjustment of arms

Anyone have any comments or recommendations?

I have a Spider Pro, amongst various other stands. I bought it second hand, and it had a life on the road before that - so it has some clearance, cracks, and creaks (I'm pretty sure the guy who sold it to me will read this and I hope this gives him a chuckle - still waiting for an answer on that support gig!). I liked it for the studio for a while, until I built in some wall mounted brackets. I know a lot of people use them live, I only did that once, but I find it pretty heavy and unwieldy for schlepping and setup. It has quite a visual presence and takes up a lot of real estate on stage. Aside from that, it is a well thought out design, it's robust and stable. You can put heavy stuff on it, and the height and position adjustments are very flexible. I'm sure a new one would be great.

I always wondered about the Millenium and Adam Hall types you linked to. I've never tried that style, but it seems to me that the column goes right into the place you'd want to put pedals.

Yeah, I wondered about the pedals too. Would be good to have some feedback from someone who's gigged with it.
Glad you've got some good usage from the Spider Pro

I have the spider pro for NS2 bottom and NS3C top. Very happy with this setup. Works very well. Stable and reasonably easy to access the Pedals. Height adjustment and angles are excellent. Only problem is cost in my opinion.

A Spider Pro is fine for gigging. The only thing I've found better are the STAND keyboard stands from Brazil, although check pedal clearance. Lighter, sturdier, and better looking. Less expensive, too. But not available everywhere.

Do you mean these? http://www.staymusicstands.com/products ... /130002-2/ I couldn't find in a quick search a STAND brand, but I found the STAY ones from there. Quiklok is starting to distribute this and the little brother as the models SL913 and SL911 respectively.

Have you used them personally? If you didn't mean this model, can you link the one you're referring to? Thank you!

Sorry, you're right, STAY stands. It's close to that model, three arms but without the retaining lip at the end. I'll respond to your PM in a moment.

Very happy with the KS3000 from Thomann. Couldn't be cheaper. Recently got the Ultimate AX-48 bag which happens to be a perfect fit.
I only use a volume pedal.
