hi,
i wanted to hear your recommendation regarding what stand setup to adopt. I'm in the process of getting a weighted digital piano and a Nord lead ( piano need a music stand as I'll be reading music sheets when practicing). also the setup is either going in the living room or in the bedroom so it'll need to be pleasant and tidy otherwise I'm going to get in trouble ( I'm married ).
I'd ideally like to have the lead above the piano for the occasional dual play, that is of course music stand permitting. also I like playing seated so the lead would need to have the interface easily reachable whilst seated.
one next to each other would be a second option, would it would prevent playing both simultaneously.
I'd love to hear your suggestions, many thanks

That's a tough nut to crack Varignet. Only thing i can come up with is one of these dual tier Z stands
https://www.amazon.com/Stage-KS7365EJ-H ... oard+stand
and an add on clamp type music stand to clamp on the 2nd tier riser tube. It would have to be off the side of your Nord Lead but the Z stand expands to 37" wide and the Nord lead is only 34" It might work if you didn't mind looking off to the right or left while reading our piano music.

Here's the add on clamp style Sheet Music Stand
https://www.amazon.com/Sheet-Music-Docu ... sic+holder
If your Z stand was expanded to the same width as the Nord Lead, you could clamp this onto the riser. It's a thought Rube Goldberg would be proud

*I believe that clamping mechanism on the sheet music stand swivels for horizontal or vertical surfaces

Re: dual keyboard setup for studio/home
thank you all,
I've been browsing for the on-stage keyboard stand tier to no avail here in the UK. Anything which comes closer has the disadvantage of coming with non adjustable 2nd keyboard extension height, which is a deal breaker for me.
The clamping music stand is a great idea, thank you. I wish there was a more streamlined and easier way to have 2 keyboards AND central music stand. I was thinking ideally a music stand which folds away when not in use and can be placed in front / over the top keyboard when piano practising on the lower digital piano.

Re: dual keyboard setup for studio/home
The Spider Pro has a music stand option, which can mount to the main column above a 2nd keyboard. I have this setup in my home studio. You can see product details here:
https://produkte.k-m.de/en/Keyboard-sta ... d-aluminum
But interestingly, I couldn't see the music stand listed as being still available. Perhaps you have to order

and this:

Thanks and sorry for the late reply. Can the arms be angled freely on the 18860?
I chose the k&m 18810,18813 arms and music stand and didn't like the setup. The top keyboard couldn't be angled enough which resulted in the nla1 being either too high or too far away. Also I found the 18810 too wobbly.
For a while I thought of having a separate L setup (nla1 to the left np3 to the right) but I'm still exploring options as this way I would be eating too much into the living room area.
I would ideally like a dual tier setup which allowed the nla1 to be low and angled enough for comfortable continued playing without masking the np3 controls.
So the search continues

No the arm angles are fixed. The bottom arms (18865: support arm set A) are horizontal. The upper ones, support arm set B, are tilted at 15°

Aside from that limitation, you have very good flexibility with adjusting the keyboards' height and front-back position.
The link shows a different music stand to the one I purchased. Mine was solid folded metal, whereas they're now showing a folding open frame type. The clamp on the first one they sent me was cracked, and came apart as soon as I tried to attach it to the stand. The replacement also has a small crack, but it's holding on for now. I might have to jam some adhesive in there at some point. So not 100% happy with the quality, but ergonomically it's quite good.
