Although I love Nord Keyboards, I found the price for Nord's Half Moon Switch accessory for Electros and C2D's to be outrageous. After some research I found the Crumar Half Moon Switch but unfortunately, it is specifically wired to work with the MOJO keyboards. However, I found that if you are handy with a Soldering Iron, a 5 minute rewire could save you $170 USD. (price of Crumar switch is $79 USD as opposed to Nords $249 USD). The Crumar is a 3-position switch so you have the options of Slow/ Stop/ Fast for any Nord Electro (3 and beyond).
Here's a quick DIY:
1. Purchase Crumar Switch (Link Below)
2. Open up the back panel. Inside, you'll find an 8-pin toggle switch that is wired to a 3-pin TRS input Jack.
3. Unsolder both of the Blue Wires from top Pin and Middle Pin of the TRS Jack.
4. Unsolder Blue Wires from the toggle switch (the blue Wire from top TRS Jack is soldered to pins 7 & 8 on the toggle. The Blue Wire from the Middle TRS Jack is soldered to pins 2 & 3 on the toggle) Make sure to remove all jumped pins from the Blue Wires Only. The Black Wire will remain untouched.
5. Take one blue Wire and solder it from Pin 1 on the Toggle to top Pin on TRS Jack
6. Take 2nd Blue Wire and solder it from Pin 8 on the Toggle to Middle Pin on TRS Jack.
7. BAM! You're done! Put the Switch back together.
8. Connect your Half Moon Switch to your Nord keyboard via the included TRS 1/4" cable. Make sure you go into your Nord Keyboard Settings and Adjust your Rotary Control Switch Setting to "HALF MOON Switch" You'll find that the pedal works just as it should. The Left position is Slow, Middle is Stop, and Right is Fast.

I've also attached a picture of my finished wiring: Hope this helps all my fellow Nord players! Jam it on the one!

Nice work! I wonder if I could retrofit the Crumar switch to control a Ventilator?

I think so, the Ventilator manual shows the expected connections (see pic below) so if you rewire it properly you should be able to use it.

I also didn't want to pay full price for the Nord one, but just bought the Organic Sound one from Poland - https://www.organicsound.com.pl/en/products
Also USD79 on standard delivery (was £58 in the UK). Works perfectly and if you are not confident with souldering all you have to do is flip 3 of the dip switches on the back with a pen and you are good to go: https://organicsound.com.pl/LIBRAY/Half ... NGv1.1.pdf
Highly recommended!

Re: Dont Pay for Nord Half Moon Switch - Rewire Crumar!
I'm anew puzzled about Nord accessory prices in the US: The triple pedal was much more expensive in the States than in western Europe. And it's the same with the half moon switch. I paid about 160 EUR (around 180 USD) - which is really enough.
Stage 3 Compact (Rev.B 2.1 - OS 2.60) - Kawai VPC1 / Yamaha CP33 - Hall of Fame & NeoVent2 - Behringer Flow-8 - K&M stands 18820+18811 / 18953+18952 - Samsung tablet with MobileSheetsPro & AirTurn Duo200 - QSC K8.2s / Fischer InEars

Interesting - it doesn’t list the Stage 3 but does it fully work with it, unlike some of the notes for original Stage and 2EX?

I can't see why it shouldn't, since that product works with Nord NE5/6 and C1/2 and the original Nord Half-moon is only one model for all Nord keyboards that support it.

If I'm not mistaken, the triple pedal is just a regular ol' €60 Fatar VFP3-15 pedal with Nord's logo slapped on the top.

I do not think it is the same. Maxpiano has one and reported somewhere here that there are some switches differences so it is not a direct replacement (although I agree that it must be made by Fatar).
