DI box for Electro 6D
Most of the keyboards I've used in the past have an option for mono output, but the Electro doesn't. I'm looking for a DI box that can offer the option of mono or stereo feed to the PA but with a mono output for the backline. Any suggestions?

I am not sure that Radial DI addresses the OP request for "I'm looking for a DI box that can offer the option of mono or stereo feed to the PA but with a mono output for the backline"
And considering that NE output is stereo "by design" maybe it is better to just use one of its channels as "mono output for the backline", to avoid stereo->mono sound (frequencies) cancellation (?)

I am sure. I have one. It works brilliantly. You can use the summed mono from the XLR OUT and the stereo OUT from the RCA THRU pair.

OK, but in that case you are not providing a DI feed to the PA.

Re: DI box for Electro 6D
Radial here as well. Accept nothing less, especially with your Nord boards. Seriously better.
That being said, there seems to be a mono mode buried in the system menus, based on my quick perusal.
Under the output options, you can send all pianos to one output, all organs/samples to another. If you believe that Nord would re-use code from other boards (super safe bet), this would be mono mode (better balancing of APs, EPs, and effects) with a different routing.
Both outputs would be automagically optimized for mono. Mono output of pianos on one output, mono output of organs and synths on the other. Much better than trying to do it yourself.
The mono button on other Nords does a good job of producing mono output than trying to do it externally. Their internal mono processing is better than anything I can do externally. It may be accessible as I've described. You just don't have a handy dedicated button here, but it looks very promising.
Mixing these two distinct mono outputs together would likely produce a lot better outcomes than trying to use a DI. I don't have an Electro 6, so I can't test my theory.
But you can?

Re: DI box for Electro 6D
Thanks chaps - I've looked at the Radials, I know them to be excellent boxes but I'm still not sure there's one that does exactly what I want. I'll keep looking, but in the meantime I'll try out the mono mode on the Electro. If I understand that correctly this puts relative volumes of pianos and synths within layered sounds at the mercy of the sound guy, but hey-ho. All Rolands have mono output options, I guess there are reasons why Nord don't do it.

Re: DI box for Electro 6D
Of course I've also have been looking for a new DI since my Behringer (I know) DI 4000 died (after 6 years).
And I had my eye on the Radials too (especially the D8 rack version).
But after reading some reviews and discussing with other musicians I went for the Palmer PAN 16. It's a really clean sound and really suits my needs.
Maybe, when this one goes to heaven, I might consider buying the D8
