Re: Cable set up Nord Piano 3 and Neumann monitors and subwo
That's sad to hear. How does the subwoofer perform with other audio sources?
I think I have gear issues ....

I have no idea how to even test this.
Does the nord piano 3 even work with subwoofers ? I don’t understand what’s going on and the Neumann manuals are Greek to me at the moment. Any website where I can learn about all this without having to do a sound engineers course at a college?

Maybe you need to explain precisely what how you are connecting it all.

Re: Cable set up Nord Piano 3 and Neumann monitors and subwo
The problem (earlier stated) was that subs weren't responsive, but the monitors were. Prior routing was from NP3 to sub, and then from sub to monitors. New routing appears to be from NP3 to Key Largo to sub to monitors, but need to confirm.
I'd be curious as to whether the sub can be made to be responsive with some other signal. And, yes, a detailed from/to list would be helpful.
@Alicja, when I play my Nord Piano 2 using a filtering sub, I can get it to respond when playing lower notes.

Re: Cable set up Nord Piano 3 and Neumann monitors and subwo
Do the monitors play at the same time when you press the lower keys?
I plugged the xlr from the key largo into the subwoofer back left and back front and activated rear bass management and flipped a subwoofer gain switch to 114 the subwoofer now responds at high volumes.
I will photo the set up and post

Why the "back" channels? If it were me, I'd just use the normal L/R vs. the 5.1 stuff. I'll go read up on this sub, though.

Re: Cable set up Nord Piano 3 and Neumann monitors and subwo
Your plugged into the wrong inputs on your sub. you should be connected to the Left and Right channels at the top, not the left/back and Right/back.
Also note, the sub by default is 80Hz and below, which is only going to produce sound in the lower registers of your Nord.
I'd suggest turning off your other speakers first while doing the initial setup to make sure you can hear the sub.

Thanks for the reply
Actually that left and right back connection is working. The sub woofer is emitting bass now. It’s all about getting the settings optimised now.
I read the manual for the speakers and I still get a headache, I need to get a few nights early rest, as this has been keeping me awake.
