Prolly hard to answer but do you think there would be a significant audible difference between playing in an acoustic setup and a full band setup, between the 8.2 and cp8?

I have never heard the CP8s, so I can't answer that. I had a gig last Wednesday with one of my bands and the K8.2s performed really well, and that band is pretty loud.

I'm thinking of purchasing a pair of CP8s for our church - as monitors and amplification for a decent piano replacement (to accompany the choir or some acoustic instruments). But I'm happy to have my K8.2s with plenty of headroom in my band context (big band with a vast bunch of brass). A CP8 should be enough in most circumstances - but with less safety margin.

I should probably explain for my situation a band would only refer to the basic top 40 setup (drum, guitar, bass, vox)... for an acoustic setup (vox, guitar and maybe cajun) maybe I reckon should be enough... but what about band setup?
