Hi all -
Thanks so very much for all your wisdom.
My QSC 12.2 died (power light in back blinking but not on in front) - fixing will take weeks if not months due to backlog and parts. However, I have gigs lined up!
I have lots of guitar amplification (amps/speakers/ close to whatever a gearhead might want for electric or acoustic) and a band-mate's PA (I don't know the brand - usually used only for mics at outdoor gigs).
My gigs are small outdoor venues (bars, small county fair, parks) and I generally just use organ & synth sounds with piano on one song. I complement 3 electric guitars, drums, & bass. At home I use it for that plus piano.
Suggestions for a fix until I get the QSC back? Anything I need to be particularly careful of?
I was kind of thinking of getting a pair of speakers anyway - is that my "best" alternative??
Thanks again.

Re: Alternatives for temporary use - my PA died NS3C
You can't go wrong with a second unit if funds permit. In addition to being covered in situations like this, you really have to try a stereo stage setup to fully appreciate how full and rich it can sound. There are some that prefer mono, most prefer stereo.
I think I have gear issues ....

All right, thanks. Funds permit - but grrr ---- I had to replace my NS3C right after purchase and this is my second QSC (all in the first year, still under warranty). I think I'm up for the lemon-buyer-of-the-year award. I don't stomp on it or drop it from the second floor but maybe there are mischievous elves in my house. Ah well, what is gig money for anyway, but to buy more gear?
The piano's stereo sound is great in my headphones and tinny through just one speaker, so I know I'll love having two.

If you have the funds and are planning on going stereo, you can't go wrong with a pair of QSC 8.2's. I used to play mono through a QSC K10, then went to stereo with a pair of QSC CP8's which was a nice improvement. But recently I have purchased a pair of QSC 8.2's and all I can say is WOW! Much easier than carrying a 12.2 too, even though you'll have 2 speakers to carry. You won't be disappointed.
