Alesis D4 at 175 CAN$ = 130 US$ ?
Do you take it or leave it? I read a lot of threads saying that it's one of the best "old" multi effects from this area?

AFAIK (I used to own one), the Alesis D4 is a drum module, not a multi-effects box. I bought the whole D4 kit (module, drums, cymbals, frame, etc.) brand new for $299USD and sold everything probably 8-10 years ago for $175. In my opinion, if you're only getting the module for $175, you're paying too much. Consider checking out Reverb.com, craigslist, etc., for today's going rate.
Thanks,
Tom

In terms of vintage multi-effects, I'm partial to Eventide, and I personally prefer the H3000 and it's ilk as the "best" multi-effects out there, pretty much period, except for a few specific cases or dedicated things like Lexicon reverbs (equal to but different from Eventide's style), the beautiful-in-their-lo-fi-way Midiverbs and Quadraverbs, and some of the Yamaha multi-effects rack units which for their going rate were very good as well and have an authentic era-specific sound that might suit your needs well.
The thing the Eventides killed everybody else on were their pitch algorithms (especially the micropitch/delay/chorus combinations) and their excellent vintage sounding digital delays and modulation lines.

Re: Alesis D4 at 175 CAN$ = 130 US$ ?
I know the H3000 but it costs quite a lot I think....I have the H9 after my Prophet 08, it's an H9 Max so, I'm just trying to find a used core so that I could get all the algorithm for the second one....I missed one at 350 CAN$!!! But was not sure if it was my priority.... I have a Lexicon MX200 (well, 2 intact, one in the studio and one live for Reverb in the Matrix 1000 (2 Matrix 1000 going directly Left/Right into the MX200...), a TC M-One XL and a TC M350, so, not high end but good enough for me...
So, I'm always keeping myself aware of what could be a good deal on old stuff that have character and could add different Colors....
Thanks for the infos, I will look into your "proposals"....
Sincerely

Ah, great. I've got two H9s maxed out as well - one of them is dedicated to the NL3 and the other is used as a general purpose 'verb/send effect. The H3000 is great mostly because it's more configurable/programmable than the H9s, but yes, it's quite expensive.
