You can have a conversation with them still in your ears, yet not be bothered by crashing drums, searing guitars and the like. I can use them regardless of what the other musos choose to do.

If you haven't tried them, they're certainly an interesting option if you're looking for lower-cost, high-fidelity stereo stage monitoring.

I wasn't aware of that type of IEMs. Learned something new today, thanks cphollis :)

Interesting topic.. I would recommend (and have been using for years) IEM. Can recommend shure SE-series, but there iwll be plenty of choice. But - what I have been struggeling for years - how to get a stereo sound on your IEM in a live setting? A lot of sound engineers do not offer a stereo signal.. Besides, you need a mixing device if you want to have a pre-mixer stereo aux from your keyboard(s) to mix into the monitor mix..

To anwser the original question - 2x Turbosound Milan (10 inch) did the job quite well a couple of times.

Here’s how I do it: I send my NS3 stereo to a Radial Key Largo. The XLR out(s) go to FOH. The stereo monitor outs go to a Rolls PM55P headphone mixer for my IEMs that also receives a mono monitor feed from the main board of all the other instruments/vocals. Hope this helps.

I do the same, the second output of my mixer goes to my Art Audio pro "My monitor II" that has a stereo feed for my keys, a mono feed form the main board and a mic input that I use to get a copy of the main mix...all have pots for volume (so, I have 4 pots...) and then I can dial whatever I want and even know how I a sound at the main mixer output....ok, I had to put a little DI box before the Mic input to match level an impedance but it works very well....
Being the sound guy but with a FOH guy, I needed to know how he was mixing our band....but yes, I got the Mackie mp240, they are not ambient but we are all on IEM now, including bassist and guitarist and it works well...

Hi everyone .. I tried two Alto ts310 monitors put on the ground .. My Ns 3 sounded very good .. Does anyone have experience with two Alto ts 308? .. Is there a big difference with the ts 310? ... me I use these monitors to listen to stereo on the stage 3 north during the concerts. If anyone has experience with RCF or jbl I gladly listen ... I'm interested in experiences only with 8 or 10 cones. Thanks

Ciao..i got monitor Alto ts 308..when I play the preset A11 piano and pad in layer with a bit of volume the monitor vibrates very strong ... for the rest it's ok - but I wanted to wait for another ts 308 for stereo monitoring ... I ask you a favor. If you can try that preset (A11 or any piano with a pad in layer) with a single ts 210 monitor with a bit of volume and tell me if you have any vibrations ..... if you did not have them at this point, I will choose two TS 310s - thanks, I look forward to hearing from you
