Wow Gert, thats some quite great rig!! I am envious of you!!

Now for myself, I have updated my gear list:

Nord Stage 88 Rev B
DSI Mopho comboed with an Electro-Harmonix StereoMemory Man with Hazarai
Korg MS2000BR
Korg Kaossilaotr Pro
Korg M50-61 GREEN this one is brand new
Korg Monotron also new
Stylophone also new

If anyone read my previous posts, you could note that I wanted an M3 to compliment my NS, but I liked the aesthetics of the M50 much better, not to mention it is green and looks just beautiful. Plus I got it for 899 USD which is about 1000 USD short of an M3. I got to say while I love my brand new M50, it got me to appreciate my NS much more, notice how good its pianos actually are, how easy its synth to edit and how real its organ sounds.

Woah, what a lot of stuff!

I have:

Nord Electro 3 seventythree
Nord Lead 2X and some guitar pedals

It was all that I can dream: I carry all the gear in one time :), all easy and quick to program, sounds are even authentic, I'm ever ever present in the mix... And, you know, red is beautiful. :P

My Gigging Rig:

- Nord Stage Compact (classic)
- Fender Rhodes Stage Piano mk1a
- Moog Prodigy
- Roland Juno 60
- A lot of FX pedals (MoogerFooger, MXR, EHX, etc.)
- Leslie 860 (connected to the output 3 of the Nord Stage)

And some pictures from last year :

Here with a small DB Technology 2.1 sat system

And another of my Nord Stage, that i was playing with help from a Roland A-90 (Nord Stage Compact is not so good for acoustic piano feeling...)

And a last one from my home studio (but without Nord keyboards)

And now i'm waiting for the Nord Stage 2.

Hey Spookyman - impressive venue you're playing in there!

My main gig rig is now:

Nord Stage 88 Revision B
Korg Triton Studio 61 (fully loaded with all EXB boards and sample ram)
When I do have to provide my own monitoring, or small PA for gigs I use Mackie SRM350s.

I also use my Rhodes Stage 73 Mk1 in the studio, and have finally caved in and given way to using more plug-ins - which I'd resisted for a long time preferring to use hardware synths/samplers etc! But for reasons of reliablity and peace of mind I keep the live rig as simple as possible (and computer free!) Having said that, years ago I used to gig a Korg SG Pro X as my main 88/Piano, and its internal transformer died on a gig once, and had to go into Korg service to get it sorted. So since then, I don't view external transformer plugs with the disdain I used to!

I used to have a Casio Privia PX-100. Can't beat the keyboard action with anything less than 400 euros, haha :)

When playing live I would hook it up to my M-Audio Audiophile USB and Macbook Pro with Reason 5.

Now I'm playing solely on the Nord Piano 88.

Hi,
just want to introduce myself to the Forum by presenting my current setup.
It's quite minimalistic:

  • Nord Stage 88 EX as my main keys and sound source (using a sustain, rotary and volume pedal)
  • Mac Book Pro running Mainstage 2 for additional sounds
  • M-Audio ProFire 610 Firewire Interface for Audio and Midi In- and Output (enough channels to do some basic mixing and monitoring)
  • Yamaha MSR 100 for monitoring
That's currently all I need. Mainstage runs smoothly. I've set it up to automatically change patches on my Nord Stage, the lead sheet is shown for the current song and a setlist is always visible. Using the "extern" section of my Nord, I can access software instruments seemlessly (of course you have to set them up once for each song in Mainstage). That way I can entirely focus on the performance :)
The only thing I'm thinking about is an upgrade to the Nord Stage 2, for the extra sounds and for midi-over-USB (which I'm desperately missing...). I didn't find a secondary keyboard necessary yet, since keyboard splitting is great on the Stage and there's enough "key estate" for my needs.

Here's a live performance of my band:

You can also check out one of our music videos, I solely used the Nord Stage for the recording:

Excellent Music, really nice ideas great playing, does not need a guitar, really cool! Good luck with your band! And great voice!!
BTW, did you choose Nord since it fits your Album title/ambience, or was it the other way round? Or neither ;-)
