I can't really play classical music - I'm self-taught; I can't sight-read and my keyboard technique is unorthodox to say the least, but I thought I'd have a go at some Bach using my Nord Electro 3 73 and my Fostex MR8 multi-track.
This recording uses the French Harpsichord, Mellotron flute and Mellotron choir from the Electro, plus real electric double-bass, played pizzicato (my bowing technique needs working on!). The arrangement is my own, worked out by ear. There are a few mistakes, but I'm quite pleased with my first-ever classical performance!

Hi Simon,
Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, or Jesu, Joy of mans' desiring.
Nice choice, one of my favorites.
You didn't play this naked, seated at the organ did you?
Sorry, I couldn't resist another Monty Python reference.
Some grueling Hanon exercises will probably fix the awkwardness that you sense in the fingering, but probably ruin your Boogie-Woogie prowess.
Thanks again for sharing with us.
Cheers, Hanon

Indecisiveness leads to indecision.... Doesn't it??

Re: And now for something completely different...
Thanks, Hanon! I'm very impressed with the quality of the Nord's harpsichord sounds - I love playing real harpsichords when I get the chance (luckily London's largest harpsichord showroom, Morley's of Lewisham is just a couple of miles from where I live).
I wonder whether any "real" harpsichordists have considered using the Electro. On a related note, a clavichord sound would be nice, but I'm guessing it would be very difficult to sample in terms of volume and pitch stability.
