Hi Guys,
Well, nor really a new "Red Nord", but the Propret 12 has a lot of red...That's why I bought it, to match my C2...Just kidding. In fact, with all the buzz around the "Pure/real thing/Analog", I"ve never paid attention to the Prophet 12 and with a steep price like this one, I thought it was not for me...And then, 10 days ago, I realized that a store in St Johns, NL, had it at a 30% discount, new...A customer bought it and returned it two days after that because he didn't like it. The Store had it for 3 months, so, they wanted to get rid of it...So, I read all the reviews, trying to figure out what it could bring to me and then, I pulled the trigger...
The sound is crazy. I think I have the last version, which means that the presets are from the P12 Module, I always hear people complaining about programs from DSI, but not me, in that case, they are awesome...
And with the Prophet 08, they complement each other so well...
That's it.

Hi Berretje,
Ha yes, why not for demo's...I just have to find the time, we have a big gig coming in 4 weeks, 400 people, TV and Radio, so, I'm more focused on practicing these days but yes, I will put that in mind for the future...

Re: A new "Red" in the family
Very impressive setup - but how is the ergonomy here? - I often wonder how it is possible to play this "stack of keyboards" without getting problems with your neck and shoulders, but I guess most of the time people use the lower keyboard as a master controlling the stack above...

Re: A new "Red" in the family
@NoDirection:
Yes, I noticed that yesterday, the P08 was too far away, so, today, I moved a bit more towards me the P12 and then, I could do the same for the P08. I can reach the P08 keyboard and at the same time, playing chords on the Stage 2 around middle C. There is enough room between the two Prophets to tweak the pots, not that much for sound creation but enough to play in a gig with the main knobs. If I stand up, I can reach the P08 and its Mod Wheel if needed...
That's it, thanks for your advice.
@DJ Keys.
No, no travel...Well, I mean, no long travel with planes or whatever...Just gigs around the city...So, no crew, but I usually find someone who could help me and our sound check guy is doing that anyway as well...
I was able to tear it down and build it up back fast for a gig before my back bones surgery but nowadays, I need help because I'm slower...
With the band I just started with last year in June, we had 4 gigs only and since the beginning of the year, we have already done 3 gigs...So, if we start to have a gig every two weeks, I might try to shrink it for any live performance but these days, I was taking all the rig to a any gig...
