PS : I have a Juno G too, very light & usefull board !
Have any one tried to make a .nsmp with a stereo wav sample 1 minute full length without loop?, if the patch is 10 mb there will be no compression at all.
It's a crazy idea of mine....

By the way, Juno G is an awesome board, full of stuff and easy to use. Have you tried to make a patch with samples, under the rhythm category?? You can use 4 stereo layers per key !!!!!!!!!!! Love it.

Ok, i´ve just try it, and the result was 5Mb, that means, compression in sample editor is 50%.
I still think that a good made mp3 192 kbps is more or less 25% of the same thing in wav format. And no real loss in quality.
With this base, and the compression in sample editor, the final result could be 1/8 instead of 1/2 of the original.

If we have enough cpu power onboard to uncompress these ratios on the fly, then it can be a win on memory size.

With the Juno I stick to "classic" sounds : APs, EPs, Organs, Synth Pad.
But,yes, I use these 4 stereo layers  and generally assign the control pedal to some layer's volume, and the D-Beam controller to the rotary speaker ;) !

Of course. My idea is only "real" if hardware remain the same and software update track the changes.

Will be grear if nord add the possibility to set loop point of start and end with the frame number, as possible in kontakt or in hardware samples, i have many samples with perfect loop point, but with the editor sometimes i cant find a perfect point, add frames, this simplify work formalready looped waves! not only milliseconds, please! And excuse me for the english :P

I would stab myself in the eye for some Sunsyn multi samples.
Andy any exotics that I'm never going to see in my life (Technos Acxel, Voyetra-8, OSCar, Hartmann Neuron).

if I could load in samples that are 48000 hz, that would be great. I always have to convert samples from 44.1 that I find online, which is kind of tedious

The Sample Editor should recognize when wave file are added that already contain embedded loop points.

Also, +1 on setting loop points by sample number vs. milliseconds.

Hi, not sure this belongs in here, but I sampled a brass sound and when I play it on the NordStage2, if I keep the keys pressed, the sound starts to get a kind of "wah wah" effect, despite no effect is active. Any idea on what I am doing wrong? Thanks
Davide

Maybe the "loop" of the sample is not done perfectly? It is sometimes difficult to find the best loop points (and loop length).
You might also want to initialise the synth section to make sure that there is no modulation of the filter by the LFO or similar.
