I purchased a used Hammond XPK200 20 pedal board unit and plugged it in and worked perfectly. You cant heel and toe it too well but would easy to add extension to the pedals. Also has a swell pedal which works with the C2. I bought the pedals for 700 hundred and a lot cheaper than the original C2 pedals.

And now the potentiometer (if that is the word I want for the little doo-hicky which varies the resistance) on my Roland EV-5 is failing. Back to the Ernie Ball. I better make time to go and get, or order, the Yamaha pedal.

Volume balance playing live is hard work. I want people to know I'm there, but I don't want them to hear exactly what I'm playing. That would be fatal. Can't tell you how many times I played in D-flat only to find out later the song was in C-sharp. Very embarassing. My ears are simply not good enough to tell the difference.

As a new (and pretty chuffed with it) owner of a C2, could boardees recommend a footswitch for the Leslie simulator as well as a swell pedal (currently looking at the EV-5 for that). I've been looking at the Korg PS-3 and the Lynx FS-102. Has anyone had any experiences with either of these, or any better suggestions? Many thanks, Rob

The Roland Ev7 (according to Matt Adams of Sweetwater) is superior to the ev5. It is also considerably more expensive : 219.00 dollars.

Based on the comments on this forum, I have just bought a Yamaha FC7 pedal. Has anyone had problems with using this when assembled for the seated position? On my unit the hook screw & bracket does not hold the pivoting part of the pedal to the base securely. In other words, when you press on the pedal with your heel, the pedal becomes detached from the base.
Am I missing something here guys?

Thanks and regards :?

My English is not so good, that I understand what jazzhead means.

I have three Yamaha FC7. It´s always the same to locate.
With the screw and a change of the little piece of metal on the bottom you have two possibilities

1. the pedal works from minimum to maximum without coming back itself, You must press it down with your toes for loud and bring it back with your heel to low. In this case works all the old original Hammond pedals

2. you can determine the angel for expression. that means it works from low to a defined loudness like 1., and then you can express for some solo notes to max loudness and the pedal come back itself to the determined point. - This is my favorite

I hope you could understand what I mean.

Regards Paul

Thanks paulymusik.
Your English is better than my German! :)

I understand what you are saying, what I meant was that on the unit I received the metal clip on the bottom does not hold the upper part of the pedal securely to the base, it comes apart.
I have requested a replacement from the reseller in UK. Maybe I was unlucky and got a faulty unit?.

Kind regards
Jazman
