Organ for Love Street (The Doors)

Hi kids !

I have to cover the song "Love Street" form the album Waiting for the Sun.

I try to get this cool organ sound, but I can't manage to do it with a Hammond or a Vox.

I did some research, it seems that the organ is a Gibson G101.

Would anyone have samples of this organ or anything similar ???

Thanx :) :) :)

Ray never played on a Farfisa, he used a Vox Continental until the album "Waiting for The Sun", when he began to play on a Gibson G101 "Kalamazoo".

I havee to say that the Gibson organ is looking quite close to the Farfisa, but it doesn't sounds the same .

It definitely looks similar. [emoji1360] I have a couple of concert pictures somewhere that shows a front shot of Ray's rig and the organ had that "Combo" "Compact" logo on the front. Another had "Duo Compact". I guess live he probably grabbed whatever was the flavor of inspiration.

Well my curiosity got best of me. It turns out like most of us, Ray played everything live. I found concert pictures of The Doors with him playing Vox, Gibson, Farfisa, Hammond, and even an RMI piano, but one thing in common was the Fender Rhodes Piano Bass on top.
