Hey everyone,
I was wondering if I am the only one who's turning on his PC everytime he wants to play the Nord...? (thru sound device)
Does it have to waste so much energy and electricty ?
Isn't there an easier way just to play my nord (without headphones) and hear myself well enough?
P.S
I have a stereo machine ...

Re: How do you amplify your nord?
A cable from the two (mono) outputs on the back to the inputs on your stereo (2 x RCA?) would work just fine. The Stage has line-level outputs, so anything with a line-in input is fair game, provided you have the right cabling.

Re: How do you amplify your nord?
Ordinary living room stereo with line inputs works fine. Be careful though: in my experience the NS2 output overall level is somewhat lower than other inputs (e.g. TV or a CD player) but bass-heavy: I have to turn up the volume to get the treble side loud enough, but then the lowest keys easily become too loud - you'll probably have to tune down the bass a bit in your stereo equipment.

Re: AW: How do you amplify your nord?
My experience with the normal stereo systm for the living room was rather disappointing for me. The dynamics of the nord output and the strong bass with many synth sounds was too heavy for the system. So I bought my very satisfying 100 Watt Stereo Keyboard Amp from Motion Sound for about 800 Euro...

At home: inexepensive moniors plus sub. Tannoy reveal 5A and KRK 10" sub. Sounds awsome!
My best memories are those I can't remember
Re: How do you amplify your nord?
Before i tried to connect my nord through Headphones-output (on the nord) with one cable to my stereo.
It sounded pretty bad and disappointing, i think i also noticed to the bass issues :/
but when mjbrands say RCA does he means this one :

Wow, I am burning a lot of electricity, because I turn on all the stuff in my avatar when I play my keyboards!
Seriously, though, you will need to run the left and right ouputs of the Nord to the left and right inputs of whatever device you want to play it through. If your stereo has RCA inputs, then you will need cables that go from 1/4" phone plug to RCA:

This is what I mean:

That's two separate cables, each with a mono 6.3 mm (1/4") jack and a male RCA connector.
You can use the one you have in your picture (from headphone output to RCA), but it will sounds pretty poorly.
Edit: Derp, same cable as djkeys linked
