I'm trying to upload individual bundles for my Programs to my laptop. But when I upload a Program that only has the organ section active it still uploads the piano and synth samples that are deactivated.
Now, that makes perfect sense -- and I'm not criticizing it. How is the poor Nord to know whether or not that section is meant to be activated or not? Anyway...
On Programs where I know a deactivated section will remain deactivated I'd like to find a way to minimize the size of the upload file. I started noticing that each of my organ Programs were around 200MB! Obviously because the bundle is taking the deactivated piano sample along with it. The space on the laptop isn't a big deal but it takes so much longer to do the upload.
So, workarounds? I had two ideas so far. First idea: load the smallest piano possible (looks like it'd be one of the EPs) and make sure that's selected in the deactivated section. The synth section is easy -- just choose an oscillator. Second idea: assign all the pianos to an unused piano and then delete that piano sample. This method seems a little more extreme and would have to be repeated each time I created new Programs to be uploaded.
Any other ideas?
