Hi,
new Elektro user. And strangely, I am not into organs or piano's at all, but I love the seize, weight and sample memory. Why not a Wave? One octave less.
Is it possible to load synth samples into the piano section?

Re: synth samples in piano memory
As discussed in the past, it is not possible to load synth samples inthe piano section, they have a different format (.nsmp vs .npno) and the sound engine is also different.

If we make our own samples and save them as npno, is that possible?

No, Nord Sound Editor can only work on Synth samples and save them as .nsmp

So, basically, it is possible for Clavia to come up with an editor that can do this. Hint, good people of Clavia

Theoretically yes, but the .npno format exists since the NS Classic was issued and editing of .npno samples was never made available, draw your own conclusions...

Yeah. I always thought it would have been great for Nord to make a converter that would allow you to convert sample library samples to piano format, in part to add a lot of nice functionality to those old Stage models, as well as to help people who didn't need so many pianos but were tight on sample library space. I would also give you some nice additional split/layer possibilities on the newer models, to be able to split/layer two sample library sounds on the same slot/panel, or layer/split two sample library sounds on an Electro 5. Obviously, there would be a lot of limitations, as the piano section doesn't give you, for example, envelope controls. But there are times where it would be a whole lot better than not being able to do it at all. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem to interest them, though.
