Hi folks,
I‘d like to have pictures (routing) of all the available FM algorithms in the NS2EX. I‘d like to understand the difference between 111 and 1.11 and so on.
Your answers are highly appreciated,
Cheers,
Eumel

Re: NS2EX FM algorithm pictures (routing)
I don't have pictures at the moment, but the convention is that the number represent the frequency ratio (1=fundamental, 2 = second harmonic, etc..) of the operator in the chain and the dot (.) the presence of feedback on the previous operator.
So, for example, using the convention a -> b as "a modulates b" and {a} as "a modulates itself (feedback)" and indicating the operators as with OpX(R) where R is the freq ratio of each Op :
111 = Op3(1)->Op2(1)->Op1(1)
1.11 ={Op3(1)}->Op2(1)->Op1(1)
2.11 = {Op3(2)}->Op2(1)->Op1(1)
and so on... some exceptions are the algorithms using a "F" in the naming, but they are explained in the manual (table of FM configurations) for example:
3.F2 = {Op3(3)}->Op2(1)->Op1(2)
(Carrier + Mod + FB, freq ratios 3:1:2)
Once you understand the conventions, you can build all the other cases and translate them also into a graphic representation quite easily, if you still need that.
PS: I found there is actually an error in the manual, in the table of FM configurations: 111 has the same definition as 1.11 which is incorrect because 111 has no feedback, as you can see for 211, 311 etc.
