Hi, connecting two keyboards via MIDI enables keyboard data (notes played and controls/pedals changes) to be transferred, not the audio.
So you cannot "use the MX sounds on the Nord" but you can "play the MX sounds from the Nord (keyboard)".

Any keyboard that has MIDI out/in can be connected to/from the Nord.
Recommended to read up a little on the boards You intend to connect so You know what's possible and what's not.
For example, one of the more commonly discussed things on the 5D is that if You connect another keyboard to play the 5D sounds You can only play Part Upper sounds from the MIDI board. So the bass pedals from B3+Bass organ sounds can never be played from a MIDI board since the bass sounds can only be played on Part Lower.

Building on some of the other responses... MIDI will allow you to play MX sounds from the Nord's keys, or play Nord sounds from the MX keys. The question is then, why would you want to do this (as opposed to just playing each board's sounds from its own keys)? One reason could be to layer a Nord and an MX sound together. Another reason could be to give an instrument greater range. For example, if you wanted to play Nord piano with your left hand and Nord organ with your right hand, yes, you could do a split on your 5D, but you'd have a pretty limited key range for one (if not both) of the sounds. If you MIDI them together, you could use all 49 keys of the MX to play organ while leaving all 61/73 keys of your Nord available to play piano.
