The Craziest Thing Happened on my Electro 4D
Something weird is going on with this board, I was wondering if anyone had ever encountered the same?
Nord E4D, 1.20 firmware, never ever had a problem with it.
Messing around with it, and one of my B3 patches had a bug. When playing through the rotary sim, all was normal. Try to play without the rotary sim, and it sounded distant and far away, maybe attenuated 70-80%? Weird. It's never done that.
No matter how much I tweaked buttons, knobs, settings, etc. -- I couldn't restore the native sound level without the rotary engaged. Reloaded the OS, next step is to reload factory settings (which takes some time)
So, I'm stumped. Any ideas?
Thanks

Are you saying that all your B3 programs without the rotary sim behave this way or only one program ?

"Sounding distant and far away", makes me think of phase cancelling. Are you perhaps summing L and R outputs together? Try listening with only headphones, or only a single output connected.

Phase issue. My guess: youre using headphones with a 1/4” to 3.5mm Adapter.
There is a whole batch of defective adapters where one side is inverted and shorted to mono with the other side, cancelling out all centered signals.

Yes, that was it. Bought a variety of others, most of them were good.
