What are some good ARP patches on the NS3C

Postby Murphy » 10 Feb 2018, 20:07

Haven't begun to sort out the synth section of the NS3. My first Nord was the NE5, so the NS3 is a big step forward. I use a Prophet 6 a bit and understand the arp on the Prophet (sort of anyway), but can't quite get a handle around the NS3. I'm hoping that someone could point me to some good arp patches to use as a framework and perhaps some guidance on how best to create, modify and use arp patches on the NS3. Thanks!

The quickest way may be just to scroll through the preset Programs until you see one where the Arpeggiator lights are on. Save a copy of the Program to one of the empty slots in Banks G and H so you can play around with it, save your changes and still have the original version.

I've done that a couple of times; just not getting anywhere, but I think your suggestion is probably the only (and best) approach I can take. I've read the manual, and need to re-read it (for the arp). I'll just keep going through all of the arp patches and see if something clicks in my head. I guess taking the Prophet 6 to gigs for a while longer. The arp on the Prophet 6 is extremely user-friendly. Can't wait to get down to one board, especially for short gigs. Thank you!

The Arp on all Prophets are great, on the P08 and P12 as well...But mine on the Stage 2 works well...I have programmed quite a lot of patches with it...I Think one of the first examples on how to use the Stage 2 in the manual was with an Arpegiator....But I bought it at the very beginning, so, the manual might have changed with the updates...
