The Db1's are awesome. I have a C2 / NS2 and wouldn't give em up for the world. they also work perfectly on a NS3 88 and fit nicely next to the modwheel/pitchbend . Nothing like grabbing a fist-full of drawbars.

Considering the build quality, reliability and ability to config, I'd say they are priced perfectly. I wish they still made them because I would get another set to use with Blue3.

Watch Reverb.com. That's where I sold mine to finance my E5.

+1. I'm really glad I bought two when they were available because it helped me decide to buy a C2 as I have now the best of both world, the LEDs and the drawbars....
If I can find a third one for my Stage 2, I will buy it....

The the simple solution for you would be to by the synth keyboard that you just described.

The DB 1 is no longer being manufactured, so it's a supply and demand issue. Like it or not, it's a sellers market. I have a Db1 that I'm going to put on the market- $500 shipped anywhere in the continental USA. Out side the USA, it will be $500 plus shipping.
