NS3 opened today: It's just the famous wheel connector that was badly connected.

Same happened with my NS3 compact too here. But after some taps on the wheel it back to work again.
Sure annoying.

Hi!

Any news about the wheel issue? To me it seems that almost all NS3 Compact models have this. Mine goes sometimes to this condition where wheel does not reach full 127 value but hangs somewhere near 50... Pressing or tapping the metal cover near wheel usually fixes it but then it comes back sooner or later. Very annoying especially on stage. Has somebody managed to fix this permanently and what kind of procedure it was? Maybe even some pictures?

Still waiting for a right time to send my unit back for repair. I am having wheel issue plus rare powering issue and I think rest of the anomalies are OS bugs... I must say this is the most problematic Nord I’ve owned and I have a long history with them. Still trying to keep the positive thinking but sometimes it’s little hard.

The most of time, this is du to the wheel connector inside the NS3, so it a hardware problem. Easy to fix by yourself, but it comes back sometimes and you have to reopened it...

Hm... would a tiny drop of hot-glue prevent the thing getting unplugged? I wonder if Clavia will change the connector design or glue it or (better) just solder it. It has been reported quite a few times now.

Glue it: No, if you have to change the mod wheel later !

Hot glue can be taken out easily, it is used in many electronic devices to make sure things do not come out.

Or don't glue it and live with it!

In my opinion this is something that Clavia should take care of. I won't hurry glueing it or fixing it with some other trick. Why are new NS3C behaving like this? I haven't seen this issue earlier with my older Compact or NS2 for example. And it seems that NS3 88 do not have this. There must be some mistake in building new NS3C cause this is so typical. Also, to me it seems little problematic to send it to local repair because maybe all they can and will do is to re-connect the wheel connector and soon problem will appear again. I think we need a permanent solution from Clavia...

Clavia had me get it fixed under warranty this week at the local authorized service center. Per Clavia they soldered it. Seems to work fine now. Hopefully the mod wheel issues are behind us now. I am relieved but unsurprised Clavia made this right.

I had this problem on my NS2 SW since a few months and when I saw your comment, I tried, slamming the wheel up and down with fury... Now it works !!! Really thank you :thanks:
