The NS2 had a different, older organ model. Check the comparison page on the Nord website. The NS3 should not sound like the NS2.

A subset of the C2D ( latest ) organ model is in the Electro 4 / 5 and NS3 although there seems to be subtle difference between all of them.

There is a legitimate complaint about the C/V and percussion on the NS3. We are expecting an update on that at some point.

Still sounds great though.

For me sound of B3 on NS3 is surprisingly good!

Well the sound isn't as good. It is OK but actually "Real B3" of Libor Sipula in 4 times cheaper Kurzweil PC3 sounds and behaves better.

So I also wait for the improvements in NS3

Damn, I'm at work and can't play with the new v1.32 update. Someone please update their NS3 and test the Organ section and post results!

I made a quick comparison to my ns2: Without Leslie it sounds pretty similar. NS3 sound a little bit more brilliant. NS2 sounds a little warmer. Percussion is louder on the NS3 in comparison to NS2.

Since I don't have a Stage 2 for reference, can you describe the Chorus in terms of the previous O/S 1.26?

Thank you NORD was not expecting less from you. Muuuuuuuuuuuch better - B3 finally matches all the other stuff on NS3. Happy.

The new organ is a major improvement, and I guess it should now sound like the NE5 and other other C2D based ones (I can only compare with my NE3).

As far as I can tell, the chorus settings have been fixed, the weird interworking between vintage models and clicks etc are gone, it has more "grit" and character and plays more nicely and I think is able to cut through a mix better than before. Percussion is also louder. I can still hear a clear difference between the clean and the 2 vintage settings; I think vintage 2 is somewhere between vintage 2 and 3 on my NE3 (and I prefer vintage 1 for my playing). And the overall volume has been raised so that it matches the other instruments.

In fact, I don't really find any flaws with the organ itself -- but some of you guys are much more organ'ic that I am, so don't count me as an expert in this area.

The Leslie model is still adding the same character as before, I think, so the horn is possibly being a bit overemphasised, as has been mentioned before. I'm fixing it currently with a bit of EQ to tame it down a bit.

But nice progress and thanks to Nord for keeping the updates rolling out!
