Funny, I think I have a preset called Tom Sawyer as well in my Prophet 08 and it's a killer one for synth lead/solo....

The Stage 2 preset, tweaked a bit, was my go to solo synth sound.

I’ve got very close to the Stage 2 program on the 3 now, using the exact same samples (2x MM violin from the Nord Library) and filter settings, but there is something about the layers in the old Stage 2 synth that thickens differently than on the Stage 3 in this case. I had to add chorus to get a similar thickness, and even so, the new sound has a sharpness that isn’t on the old one (but that I rather like).

Most times, it is far easier to get great sounding results on the Stage 3 synth, but in this case...

Can you tell me, please, how can I obtain that sound on my Electro 5D (using any sample from Nord Sample Library 2.0)?
I really need some good leads on my NE...

The basis for what I've built is the "MM Synth Violin BR" sample from the Nord Sample Archive here:

I'm not sure how close one would get on an Electro, with limited envelope and filtering, and no vibrato or pitch bend, but that sample is pretty great even dry.

Ok the Nord Sample converter for the Nord Stage 3 is there. Nice for those who bought it.

But for the others ... no christmas gift ?
I know, I know ... We become discerning with our intrument when it's only a few month old ...

In the release notes for the very latest of "yet another Stage3 OS update" - second one so far this month - that is v1.32 (2017-12-15)
It states " B3 Organ model: Overall refinements to sound and behaviour"
I don't know if this means the S3 B3 was lacking something, or they've done some tweaks that might be rolled out to other products with the B3 model. Hmmmm...
