Can triple pedal control rotary?

Post by rvavrick »

First post here.
I would like to use triple pedal to switch between fast/slow rotary. It seems from the docs you can do this with a single sustain pedal but not the triple. Doesn't seem right to me.

Thanks.

Hello rvavrick,
Welcome to the forums!
There isn't a feature yet which allows the rotary sim speed to be mapped to any pedal (on the Nord Triple Pedal) other than the sustain. However if the sustain pedal is set to control the rotary sim speed (System Menu/ Sustain Pedal Func)
it should work that way.
Cheers, Hanon

Yes I have set sustain pedal func to Sus+RotrHld, it still doesn't work. Should I update the OS, currently I have 1.32.

Thanks.

Hello rvavrick,
I'm not 100% sure of the functionality, I always believed that it would work, and that should pre-date the latest OS version.
To be sure, please contact Nord technical support.
Please post back with official word from Nord.
As for the OS update, it's a good idea to do it, I just don't think that it adds the Nord Triple Pedal (NTP) rotor speed functionality.
Cheers, Hanon

I know that Rev B NS2s supposedly can use the middle pedal as a latch with OS 1.40. I don't know if the middle pedal can also be used as a rotor switch. But it seems like if you can set a normal latch pedal to control the rotor speed, you should be able to do it with the Triple Pedal. It's definitely worth upgrading to 1.40 and giving it a try.

Thanks all for the help. Update 1.40 fixed the issue, triple pedal sustain works as a rotary controller.

Thanks.
