Lowest temperature

Anybody knows which is the lowest temperature on an outside concert scene to performing without putting my Nord keyboards in danger?
Our band has some opportunities to play live this winter.
NE5D, NLA1, BS2, Boog, TX81Z, JV-1080, A33, AX-Synth, PC3K6, M350, BeatstepP. etc.

The biggest issue will be with condensation when you move from the cold into warm surroundings.

As air cools, it cannot hold as much water vapour, so when you bring your cold Nord into a warm room full of people, the air that cools right at the cold device will no longer hold the vapour and deposit moisture on the case and on the electronics.

If you can at all, let it gradually acclimate to warmer surroundings (perhaps leave it in the bag for a while when you move it indoors).

Cold won’t damage it in and of itself. Keys may be a bit stiffer. But electronics love cold in general.

Sorry, I have to disagree here. When it is cold, electrolytic capacitors loose some of their physical capacity which might harm the electronics. That‘s why e.g. electronics for automotive is designed differently to stand colder temperatures. So be careful!

Depending on what type of capacitors, you could be correct in terms of the amount of charge held, but the temps would be well below freezing for a typical capacitor before that type of issue would present. Furthermore, the lack of current would not do any physical damage, but rather the board would simply not stay powered on. If the question is whether any permanent damage would result, I fail to see any scenario where the cold would do that to the electronics.

If you search other places, you will find many stories of people operating their gear in freezing or even below freezing temps without trouble.

How much cold are you expecting?
I played outside last winter at about 2 Celsius and my Stage had no problems during and after the gig.

My fingers and throat fared definitely worse!

I asked this question to the Nord official homepage and got the following answer from the german support for the Stage 76ex:
"The Nord Stage will be tested at temperatures up to 60°C. Clavia does not recommend a usage below 0°C."
Kind regards
Hughes
