I have a lot of noise on the output of my NE 5 - even when the volume is turned down.
Does anyone else experience this problem?
Is there something to do about it?

Re: Noisy output of the NE 5
Where does the noise come from: Both L and R outputs?
Headphone output as well?
Are you connected to other instruments or a computer (through MIDI or USB conections)?
Is the noise there at multiple (power supply) locations?

Re: Noisy output of the NE 5
Its booth left and right. I have not tried the headphone out.
The audio out is connected to a mixer and that’s all. No midi or computer.
The high Hiss noise is there in my rehearsal room and when I’m playing gigs, also when I’m not using my own mixer/amplification.

Re: Noisy output of the NE 5
The NE5 should not be producing large amounts of hiss or noise, that is not normal.

Could be the audio cable.
NE5D, NLA1, BS2, Boog, TX81Z, JV-1080, A33, AX-Synth, PC3K6, M350, BeatstepP. etc.

Far more likely to be the mixer or amp.
Is the hiss still there with the electro plugged in and turned off?

Re: Noisy output of the NE 5
I have tried different cables, DI boxes, balancing with short cables and different mixers and amps.
The Hiss noise is not audiable when the NE 5 is plugged in and turned off.

@Voxfort:
Can you post a recording of the hiss? --Sometimes the spectral content points to a cause.
Also, can you ArjanP's question about whether the hiss appears in the Headphone channel?
