The FS7 must be set as momentary; then: have you tried both "polarities"?NordMarkus wrote:I use the Boss FS7 and it works fine. I can turn the direction the way I want! The only problem is, that every time I‘ve rebooted the nord stage 3, the pedal turns programs to the wrong direction at first push and after that it works usual. Any suggestions? I‘ve tried all possible configurations.

Re: Nord Stage 3 pedal program up/down
Yeah, I'm beginning to think that two TS to one TRS might be the simplest and most flexible solution for me. I'm not really so handy with a soldering iron [I should probably poll my friends to see if someone I know is...].Bjosko wrote:I do not have an pedal, but I am guessing that you are using an TSR to TSR cable ?
If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can rewire one end of the cable, or using two TS into one TSR plug. On the last one, you can switch around the two cables between A an B input on the pedal so it are working the correct way for you.
Interesting that you are able to adjust the direction while I don't seem to be able to do so with my FS-6. And weird (and annoying) that it behaves the way that you described after reboot!NordMarkus wrote:I use the Boss FS7 and it works fine. I can turn the direction the way I want! How do you like the FS-7? Do you like the two switches being above and below as the FS-7 has them arranged? I bought the FS-6 because I thought I preferred the idea of the switches being side by side and I was worried that I would not like the FS-7's arrangement of the switches, although I did not have an opportunity to try either pedal in person before buying.
Maybe I will just order an FS-7 and then return which ever pedal I decide I do not want to keep. And if the FS-7 works out for me, it would save some floor space AND it would mean I could get away from the annoying 9V battery, which the FS-6 requires.

Which setting are you using for Prog Pedal Type (in the NS3 System menu)?NordMarkus wrote:Yes, that‘s what I‘ve done. Any other suggestions?

Re: Nord Stage 3 pedal program up/down
I really do like the FS7. You have to practice a little bit to feel ‘safe‘ with it and not to hit the wrong direction and it is a little slippy on the floor but works fine for my needs.
I‘ve tried open, close and auto in system menu but the bug is the same. For playing I use close so I have time to ‘search‘ the pedal while playing and then I only have to release the foot at the perfect time.

Re: Nord Stage 3 pedal program up/down
You should have to use what is right for the FS7 based on the "polarity" you have chosen, if they are mismatched that may be the reason for the erratic behaviour you see. Have you tried to check the FS7 "polarity" with an electrical tester/multimeter? (To determine which of settings I/II is respectively normally Open/Closed)

Re: Nord Stage 3 pedal program up/down
Hi. The Program Switch Input is wired so momentarily connecting the Sleeve to the Tip causes a Program Down and a connecting the Sleeve to the Ring causes a Program Up.Irrequieto wrote:Hi all, i have tried the pedal program up/down with nord pedal and proel pedal, but also changing polarity or option on system menu, the pedal only change DOWN program or song. Anyone can help me? Thanks

No but that would not cause the wrong direction change only at first push, would it? Has anyone else the chance to check the fs7 with ns3?maxpiano wrote:You should have to use what is right for the FS7 based on the "polarity" you have chosen, if they are mismatched that may be the reason for the erratic behaviour you see. Re: Nord Stage 3 pedal program up/down
I too am a little confused with the operation of the Boss FS-6 pedal and the NS-3 up/down programme control. I have tried both open and closed options in the system menu but the A (left) switch increments the programme up 1 position and the B (Right) switch increments it down which is counterintuitive (for me at least) I am using a TRS connection to keep cable count down and I understand that using two standard mono jacks into an adaptor would enable me to switch the cables around. I'm also able to make up a new TRS cable with the tip and ring connections reversed at one end which would solve the issue but I was just wondering if I was missing something? The FS-6 is set to momentary and polarity to R side. Apologies if I have hi-jacked your thread that wasn't my intention....
