I was told this pedal would work by sweetwater since they were out of stock of the yamaha fc7. I had my doubts since the manual didn't list it, and sure enough, it doesn't work. I play through headphones, so I'm not looking for a volume pedal, but an expression pedal. Anyone had luck with this pedal?

That pedal can be both, volume and expression.
Could it be that you are using the wrong cable (TS)?
The EXP connector needs a TRS cable (stereo).

I believe that is the case. Only problem is I don't have a TRS cable and the pedal didn't come with it. I guess my options are to either get a TRS cable, or just go ahead and swap it for the FC7. Either way I'll have to wait a few days to get it. I live in a remote area and all the music stores shut down Any thoughts on the behringer vs the yamaha? Thank you so much for your reply Mr_-G!

Update. Sweetwater is going to exchange the FC600 for the Yamaha FC7. I realize I could have just gotten a stereo cable and made it work, but Yamaha quality is always top notch, plus the fact I can actually tell the keyboard that a FC7 is hooked up makes me feel more comfortable.
