Well I guess that's the case, but if you look at the link of my picture you'll see it is from Nord website too, NS3 current product page...
Yes, I was surprised to just see it there when looking for the "official" photo of the panel...but it's an older promotional shot, and that is definitely not what's silkscreened onto the front panel of my Nord Stage 3…
It used to work nicely on my Stage 2 to have sounds commonly used in conjunction in the same slot in adjacent banks and have two axes to switch between (programs vs. banks).
But I suppose that the song list function is a lot more flexible and potent…I just need to get my head around how to use it and best make it work for me.

If you give the "Program" Knob a sharp twist, it will jump to program 01 of the next bank.

Re: Newbie question re: bank select
Indeed, as analogika says, the knob (as most other similar knobs) have a shortcut built-in: A brisk twist will take you to the next major division (in this case, the next bank). I use this feature very often.

Re: Newbie question re: bank select
sorry.. but I don't like it! I'm NS2Ex user and there the direct access is better! I don't understand why they didn't keep it

Just because they went with the Song list to replace it... Even with my Stage 2, I had tried almost at the beginning to find a faster way, then I went with Setlist maker...

On my Stage 2, I used the first 5 patches of banks A-D to give me instant (2-button) access to my most-used 20 programs. But the four bank buttons are gone on the NS3, unfortunately. Song List is nice, though. Supplementing with Set List Maker or some other app that sends Program Changes is probably the way to go.
