You can compensate a bit by adjusting distortion and EQ for brightness, though. But that won't give you the harsher transition into distortion that the 147 gives...

I'm happy that the Stage is getting the 122 close, at least.

I noticed that on the Sweetwater video, Chris had the organ set on C3 vibrato, but it had the C2 vibrato sound. Anybody notice that on their NS3?

So does 122 close sound like a Leslie 122 miked close or standing close to a Leslie 122?

The classic "close mic'ing" technique is two 57's or 441's a couple of inches from the horn, on two adjacent sides of the cabinet, plus a Neumann or an RE20 on the rotor.
