Hello, I have a NE3 and I'd like to setup a different midi channel for Prog A and Prog B. For example, I can keep channel 1 for Prog A and channel 2 for Prog B, so I can setup a midi module or computer with channel 2 and when I need to change to the module/computer I just press Prog B buttom.

Summing up:

Prog A - midi channel 1 - local on;
Prog B - midi channel 2 - Local off (sound of NE3 off);

Is it possible?

Unfortunately not, NE3 MIDI settings are Global, not "per Program".

Thank you Maxpiano. I've tried to do it and searched in internet, but till now I didn't have an answer.

If you explain your setup and what exactly you want to achieve, maybe there are other ways... for example if you use a PC/MC you may always have NE3 in Local off and let the computer do the MIDI routing, depending on the Program, via applications such as Mainstage or similar or a DAW...

Hi Maxpiano, in this case I just want to use NE3 with a Korg TR-Rack. I thought that was possible to setup the midi channel of TR-Rack to 2 as well Prog B. So it would be quickly to change from an organ in NE3 to a synth sound in the module. Currently I have to decrease NE3 volume and increase TR-rack volume to change the sound, and it takes a precious time.

Then, as as impel solution without adding other HW elements, I suggest you create some "silent" (no sound) patches on TR-rack and NE3 so that when you select Prog A you have NE3=Organ and TR=silent and for Prog B NE3= silent/TR=synth
