Hi guys.
Hope you're well.
So I've got my lead 4 setup to receive program changes from my iPad to jump to specific sounds for certain songs which is great. However i have found i have to have it in either program or performance mode before i send the program change otherwise it will just go to that bank and program regardless of mode. I was wondering is there some sort of message i can send to put the Lead into performance or patch mode before sending the program change message?
Can't find anything in the manual on this one.
Any help would be fantastic.
Cheers
Matt

Re: Changing between performance and program mode via midi_L
From a quick glance at the manual, looks like this is not possible. You have to set it to Performance mode on the NL itself before sending a program change message.
There is no documentation on how to control the NL4 externally, beyond the usual CC messages.
Perhaps sending a sysex performance dump would do it? I haven't tried it myself.

Sysex should work, but I ended up doing everything in performance mode on the A1.

Yes, performance mode seems to be the way to go on these new leads when playing live. Is there a specific reason why you need to switch between these modes?
