Hi folks,
To me it seems that Nord is about to shrink their product portfolio. Who needs an Electro if there's now a Stage compact with physical drawbars? Is there such a big difference between the Lead 4 and Lead A1 so that they couldn't be merged? IMHO no. I would even like to see that, as maintaining and supporting 2 products instead of 4 could be much more effective and focused. Let's see what happens...

Re: My view in the crystal ball
Not sure that the addition of the physical drawbars to the NS3 SW73 by itself is changing the game so much, the NE has a different price point and a 61 keys version.
The two Leads today have a rather different sound and synthesis structure, but it is bossible that a future "Nord Lead A2) may merge the best of the two into one model only (maybe, just a wish, to make space for a Nord Wave 2)

Re: My view in the crystal ball
You are forgetting the differences in price between the Electro and the Stage models. Not everybody might be willing to pay for the most expensive model.
I agree about the leads. I think there is a market for a Lead 5 with the architecture of the NL4, the effects of the A1, nsmp in all 4 slots with velocity morphing/switching and a better (and longer) keybed with aftertouch. Who would not like that!

Re: My view in the crystal ball
The price difference between a NS2EX compact an a Electro 5 76 is about € 600.-. This delta could be easily compensated by having only one kind of product to produce and this obe product in a much higher number. It would be a win-win situation.

Re: My view in the crystal ball
Comparing similar instruments, based on prices shown on a "famous German online reseller", the gap between a NE5 SW73 and NS3 Compact is 1.500€ as of today.
