Roland VP-7 midi settings

Hi
I'm using a Roland VP-7 vocal processer with my NS2 but have limited knowledge of midi and the settings within my NS2. I have got it working to a certain extent however, I'm not sure if some of the midi settings on my NS2 are wrong because strange things keep happening to the VP-7 like the vocal options keep changing randomly without me actually pressing any buttons on the vp7.
Is anyone able to let me know what my midi settings should be? I know how to get to the midi menu in my NS2 but don't really understand each option.
Sorry - newbie!
I have read the midi download off the nord forum too but still doesn't really make sense to me.
