Would it be safe (or recommended)to use the can dust spray that you use for cleaning your computer keyboard, on my Electro 5HP keyboard, or any music keyboard?
Has anyone done this, Good/Bad???
Thank you!

Re: Dust Spray for Keyboard
The only negative I've heard is, you could drive external dust into the keyboard. For cleaning my keyboards, I use a closed cell cloth. it doesn't scratch plastic displays. I usually dampen it with warm water. Doing this on a regular basis keeps my gear clean.

Re: Dust Spray for Keyboard
Hi,
the key contacts are little rubber caps that get compressed. They have a vent hole.
If you get too enthusiastic about it, there is a possibility to blow dust into the rubber caps, where it can interfere with the contacts.
Also, it can blow the lubrication out of the joints.
I haven't googled the question myself, but I'd use it only from a distance, not point the tube into any gaps.
BTW, my own method is a soft brush together with a vacuum cleaner.

And I was worried - all the way down to the ground

Thank you for advice. Just to be on the safe side I'll just clean it with damp cloth!
Re: Dust Spray for Keyboard
My number # tactic for combating dust, religiously keeping the keys covered at all times when not in use.

Re: Dust Spray for Keyboard
Microfiber or terrycloth dampened with pure water is best. Also, keep your case closed when the keyboard is in use to keep contaminants out.
