Hi,
That is a funny way to see things.
That is right, I myself try to get the sounds of a piano keybed or a rhodes keybed but I hate when my keybed makes noise. Strange ....
Maybe it's because I can then select the level or just because an old Rhodes sounds sexy, so does a piano , but not a recent keyboard.
Anyway, the Nord Piano 3 seems to be more quiet .... and I like that ....
Cheers

Re: 3HP keybed noise
Bought a 2nd hand Electro 4 HP yesterday, guess what, some keys make an afwul noise... Couldn't hear this when testing the unit, it's indeed only noticable at low audio levels.
Nonetheless I hated it and decided to open up the unit. I've loosened the keys that were bad, wiggled em around a bit and reseated them.
That actually solved the problem, so it's probably the lack of grease (or worn in grease) that's contributing to the keybed noise.
Not very elegant to have to open up a Nord product, but if you're a 'handyman' it's easy work.
At the least, it did put my mind to ease.
Update:
Actually, I have loosened and reseated all keys... Wow! Keybed feels as if new.
