A1 master clock

Postby Dimitar » 20 Apr 2017, 04:14

Hello, everyone !
I need help for a strange problem for which I can not find a solution ..

Recently after playing on lead a1 i noticed in program mode something strange. After manually changing some master clock tempo of one parameter, this tempo is staying locked in all the parameters and it doesn't come back to the saved original tempo even after restart or changing from pefrormance to program mode. I tried to put everything to default in the system and midi controls but it remains the same.

Any idea what can it be.. ?
Thanks..

I don't quite follow you. Can you give us a recipe, some kind of steps to reproduce the problem?

I apologize for my english :) Its very simple but maybe my explanation is a bit long.

Well for example if you have saved patch in program mode with LFO synced to the master clock tempo 240 and change the master clock to other tempo like 200 or whatever else tempo and go to the next patch (it doesn't matter on which slot) the master clock will show the last saved tempo 200 to the all patches.

In general the master clock it will not change tempo by changing the patch until I make it manually even the master clock tempo in every patch is saved in different tempo.

I will test my A1 tonight to see if it is the same. I found this in the manual:

"There is one Master Clock tempo for each performance. All Slots can be in perfect sync with each other. "

It may be that only performances save the master clock tempo.

Yes but in the same time there's a lot of program presets with master clock synced to something which you can download from the nord site and suppose the reason for that is to have the sound with saved tempo

Programs do not save master tempo. Only performances. Sorry man!

I think it's actually very good the way it is.
You can have up to four programs active, what do you want, each one with it's seperate tempo simultaneously? It's called master clock for a reason, if you don't want it, don't use it and dial in the values for arp, delay and lfo with digits. Or if you change one program you surely wouldn't want to change the clock for the rest of the programs.
If you are putting together programs for a song and you go through your arp patches to see which fits best, you don't want it to change the tempo every time to something else.
Performance mode is where to save it if you want, well, to save a performance. It's quite perfect the way it is.

If you are in program mode and you want to change thw tempo, you could use an external clock and sequence tempo changes out there.
