Factory Reset for Electro 2

Postby funkybroadway » 13 Apr 2017, 18:33

Can someone walk me through how to do a factory reset for Nord Electro 2? I'm confused by the info I'm finding. Computer-wise, I have Mac OS 10.9.5. Thanks.

Point 1:
You have to connect to a computer to reset the Electro 2.

Point 2:
You reset by restoring to the factory banks with the Nord Electro Tool available here:
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/ ... -electro-2
THIS TOOL WILL ONLY RUN ON OS X SNOW LEOPARD (10.6.X) OR EARLIER.

The factory banks are available here:

Unfortunately, there is no way to reset the Electro 2 using your version of OS X, unless you are running a virtualization (such as Parallels or VMWare) of an older Windows (32-bit version) or OS X 10.6 or earlier. Under Windows, you also have to install the USB driver.

That sucks, but Clavia is a small company and simply didn't have the resources to keep updating the software for a machine from 2002 to run on OS X versions released after 2011.
